Does kerb weight include the driver?

Not normally in Australian specifications. Some European-sourced figures ('mass in running order') include a 75 kg driver, so check the definition behind the number.

Is kerb weight on the compliance plate?

Usually not. Compliance plates record ratings such as GVM rather than what the vehicle weighs. Kerb weight comes from the manufacturer's specifications, and the most accurate figure for your own vehicle is a weighbridge ticket.

Do accessories count towards kerb weight or payload?

Factory-fitted standard equipment is included in kerb weight. Anything added after that — bull bar, tow bar, canopy, drawers — counts against your payload.
